Pastelitos De Carne (Cuban Beef Pastries)

Pastelitos de carne are the perfect Cuban savory-sweet pastry filled with beef picadillo, baked, then brushed with simple syrup.

INGREDIENTS

– granulated sugar – water – Cuban beef picadillo – puff pastry sheets  – egg

Place the picadillo filling in the center of each thawed dough circle. Cover with another dough circle on top.

Using a fork or by pressing down with your fingers, gently seal the edges of the dough circles together. Brush with egg wash.

Bake them for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Brush with simple syrup right out of the oven. Enjoy!
