Turkey Picadillo (Cuban Picadillo de Pavo)

Turkey Picadillo is a flavorful Cuban dish made with ground turkey, sofrito, tomato sauce, dry cooking wine, spices, and Spanish olives. Perfect weeknight meal ready in just 30 minutes!

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add onions, green pepper, and garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes.

First, make the sofrito

Next, add ground turkey and cook, breaking the meat apart, until no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Reduce the heat down to medium-low.

Brown the meat

Stir in cooking wine, tomato sauce, cumin, oregano, and, salt + pepper to taste. Simmer for 10-12 minutes. Stir in olives. Serve with white rice.
