Sweet Plantains (Platanos Maduros)

Plantains are so versatile in Cuban cuisine and make the best side dish for just about any meal!

Cut each ripe plantain diagonally and peel the plantains. Slice the plantains into 1/2-inch thick slices.

Heat oil and pan-fry plantains for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and edges are crispy. Drain on paper towel-lined plate. Season with salt and serve immediately.
