Pinch of gingeroptional (it won't affect the flavor)
To make simple syrup, you boil a 1:1 ratio of granulated sugar to water. For example, boil 1/4 cup of granulated sugar to 1/4 cup water. Some say you don't need to boil it but I find that dissolving the sugar is way faster this way. You can also try to mix both up in a jar until dissolved. Either way, no matter what method you use, the key is to dissolve the sugar. Once all the sugar is dissolved, congrats, you just made simple syrup.
Grab a large mason jar or a large pitcher, and add all the ingredients to the jar. Shake it up or stir until all is well combined. Taste and make sure it is sweet enough for you. If not, add more simple syrup as desired. Serve and enjoy!
