Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 3 links Mexican chorizo crumbled
  • 1 large white onion diced
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls toasted
  • Green onions for garnish optional

Instructions

  • In a skillet, cook beef and chorizo together, over medium-high heat. Once cooked, drain excess oil then add onions. Cook for 3 minutes or until onions are translucent.
  • Add barbecue sauce and water. Reduce heat to low, simmer and stir occasionally, for 15-20 minutes until no longer soupy. Careful not to dry it out. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Spoon meat mixture into sweet rolls and garnish with green onions. Serve and enjoy!
