How To Make Yuca Frita (Yuca Fries)

Peel the yuca then boil it in a pot of salted water for 20-30 minutes until fork-tender. Drain and let cool. Remove the stringy, fibrous core from the center of each piece of yuca with a knife.

Once cooled, cut the yuca, horizontally, into thick, long fries similar to steak fries.

Fry the yuca fries in hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the saucepan for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Drain then season with salt. Enjoy!
