Guava Basil Moscow Mule. A twist to the traditional refreshing Vodka cocktail made with spicy ginger beer, guava nectar, fresh lime and sweet basil. Delicious drink for any time of year!
Moscow mules have been one of my favorite drink for years! The spicy ginger beer, all that fresh lime juice, and smooth vodka. When in doubt, it’s the perfect go-to drink.
Considering I barely post drink recipes on this blog, I decided to share a moscow mule because why not, right? Except this moscow mule has a deliciously sweet twist… guava + basil!
If you’ve been following me on this blog for a while, you’ve probably seen my guava magic cookie bars, guava rice krispie treats, baked guava mimosa glazed donuts and MANY OTHER guava recipes. Yes, I love guava and I’m not ashamed to admit it.
I’ve tried different variations of moscow mule but adding guava nectar and basil to a traditional moscow mule was a MAJOR game changer.
This drink is refreshing and VERY easy to make. Just combine your favorite vodka, ginger beer, guava nectar and ice in a copper mug or cocktail glass. Stir then add fresh lime juice and basil leaf.
At first, I was worried the basil would alter the flavor but on the contrary, it made it BETTER. Trust me on this.
This drink is perfect for any time of year. You’re going to LOVE it.
