The Gift Guide is here! Sing it with me, guys… “It’s the most wonderful time of the yeeeear!”
Don’t you just LOVE Christmas? This is my favorite holiday of the year. I love everything about it. Are you one of those dorks that decorates the house and wraps gifts with Christmas music playing in the background?! Me too!
The only downfall is that I live in Miami so it’s usually Christmas in chancletas (flip flops) and tank tops. Our “winter” weather is about 60-70 degrees and lasts a few days, sometimes hours. So whenever you hear, the weather outside is frightful, it totally is because it’s hot af in Miami.
I guess I shouldn’t complain, huh? Could be worse!
Moving on…CHRISTMAS SHOPPING! Woohooo! I never stress Christmas shopping because I’m an online shopper. As a matter of fact, I’ve already finished all my Christmas shopping for the year. Between Black Friday and last Saturday, I got everything on my list, even gift bags! Be proud of me. ;)
In case you haven’t even started or need a few ideas, below are… a few of my favorite things. Sorry, I sing a lot. Especially during Christmas!
The following gift guide (actually, there are 3 in total) are for the baker & cook, the host (or hostess), and cookbook lover. If you have any questions or need more ideas, let me know! I’m happy to help!
Gift Guide for the Baker & Cook
Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer: I’ve had one for years and it’s my favorite kitchen appliance! Not to mention, it looks so pretty on a kitchen counter.
OXO Cookie Scoop: Perfect cookies need a cookie scoop. This one from OXO is super easy to use!
Cuisinart 12-piece Ceramic Knives: Literally, the BEST knives I’ve ever used for such a reasonable price. VERY sharp and comes in fun colors.
Non-Stick Silicone Baking Mats: Forget parchment paper for life, these baking mats are magical. Bake cookies with confidence. They’ll never stick to the mat!
“Hello, Is It Me You’re Cooking For?” Cutting Board: DEAD. This is the most hilarious kitchen utensil I’ve ever seen in my life. I wouldn’t even use it for cutting. I’d just display it or use it to pass out hor d’oeuvres! SOMEONE BUY ME THIS.
The Inspiralizer: I fail at healthy eating so this DEFINITELY makes eating veggies FUN. There are many spiralizers on the market but this one is definitely the best one. Why? Aside from it’s compact size and its powerful suction feature to secure the spiralizer in place, there’s no need to pull each blade out to change the spiral style! You just simply turn the green knob and the blade switches to a new spiral. Once I saw that, I was SOLD. Jan 1 is right around the corner!
Cuisinart 7-Cup Food Processor: Necessary, useful, perfect for someone who loves to cook!
Cuisinart 2 Speed Hand Blender: Best thing ever to make soups!
Nespresso Inissia Espresso Maker: When I’m not making Cuban coffee, I’m using this bad boy and I LOVE IT.
Gift Guide for the Host/Hostess
Beer Chillers: Because BRILLIANT. Keep your beer cold until the very last drop!
Sectional Snack Serving Tray: Think of all the fruits, nuts, candies, oh my! Oh just TONS of Green Olive Bruschetta.
Cocktail Shaker Set: DIY drinks is where it’s at!
Monogramed Cheese Board: Serve cheese and then display your initial when done! It also has non-slip rubber feet keep the board in place. I’m in LOVE with how pretty this wood looks!
Stemless Wine Glasses: Ain’t nobody got time for stems! Or broken glass. Oh yeah, these are UNBREAKABLE. If you have kids or pets, you won’t have to worry about broken glass everywhere. Win win!
Wine Opener Set: Give the wine lover the gift of an opener, a stopper, a drip ring, a foil cutter and wine pourer. All in one fun!
Stainless Steel Drink Coolers: Chill your drink without diluting it. Hello whiskey on the rocks!
Cards Against Humanity: And finally, no party is complete without the ultimate party game. You won’t stop laughing, I guarantee it.
Gift Guide for the Cookbook Lover
Cravings Cookbook: Chrissy Teigen is the baddest bitch I know. I MET HER. Her cookbook is goals AF. I’ve made French Toast Casserole with Salted Frosted Flakes, Hasselback Potatoes, and Gnocchi from this book with my own twists, of course. It’s my favorite cookbook, hands down. If you know someone that loves to eat good home cooking, this is the book to buy.
Eating in the Middle: Andie is just an amazing person. I’ve always loved her writing style! I would get lost for hours reading old blog posts of her’s. Her memoir for me was so inspiring and enlightening. I share a lot of the same struggles she does with food and life. I’ve made her Brown Sugar and Chili-Rubbed Salmon with Avocado Crema and Cashew Basil Chicken Lettuce Wraps recipes from this cookbook. Definitely the perfect gift for anyone who wants to eat balanced and delicious. Jan 1 is right around the corner!
Sally’s Baking Addiction: One of my favorite bloggers! Tbh, I love baking more than cooking. And I love how thorough Sally always is with her recipes and techniques. Plus, she’s a science nerd and I’m ALL ABOUT IT. If only science in school would’ve been about baking, I would’ve aced every test! I’ve made her perfect red velvet cake and pina colada cupcakes. SO GOOD.
Seriously Delish: Jessica is my foodie spirit animal. I love all her recipes, her videos, her writing, her work ethic! (I mean, does she sleep?!) She’s just hilarious and this cookbook is on point too!
Inspiralize Everything: Ali inspires me to keep going with this blog whenever I’ve felt like quitting. She quit her job and bought her domain the next day. After lots of hard work, she’s a business owner and a cookbook author! This is her second cookbook and honestly makes healthy eating approachable for me. I find myself using The Inspiralizer all the time! I’ve make Seared Scallops on Zucchini Noodles with Roasted Bell Pepper Sauce and countless others.
Raw. Vegan. Not Gross. Exactly like it sounds. Cook vegan and it’s never gross. I bought this cookbook for my niece over the summer and it’s so fun! Accessible, not scary, totally changes your mindset about vegan food/cooking. Plus, Laura Miller is hilarious. You guys should follow her on YouTube.
Thug Kitchen: Someday I hope to have a client or manage a blog with as many f-bombs as there are in this book. In the meantime, I make healthy bites for parties. LOVE this book!
The Flavor Bible: As I mentioned above – my spirit animal, Jessica, always raves about this book and, let me tell you…IT’S AMAZING. Any flavor combination you can think of, this book can tell you if it will taste like poop or like gold. What a great purchase!
Homemade Decadence: Joy the Baker loves Drake like me so she’s already an A+ in my book. Aside from that, she wrote this book about salty, sweet, sticky, creamy and crunchy treats which is all kinds of YES. Great gift for an aspiring baker.
